The 275,000-square-foot deal fills the remaining space at the redeveloped former Pratt & Whitney industrial campus.
New Jersey-based logistics company Farren International has signed a long-term lease for 275,000 square feet of industrial space at 75 Aircraft Road in Southington, part of the former Pratt & Whitney campus that was redeveloped for multiple industrial tenants.
The lease brings the property to full occupancy, according to O,R&L Commercial, which represented landlord IRG Realty Advisors LLC in the transaction.
Farren, headquartered in Ledgewood, New Jersey, provides transportation, rigging, crane, warehousing and related logistics services for heavy and specialized equipment.
The company initially sought about 100,000 square feet but increased its space requirements during the site-selection process, eventually leasing the remaining 275,000 square feet at the property, O,R&L said.
The Aircraft Road campus includes five buildings totaling about 650,000 square feet. Pratt & Whitney closed its jet-engine operations there more than 25 years ago, and IRG subsequently invested millions of dollars renovating the property for new industrial uses.
Samuel Crampton and Luke Massirio of O,R&L Commercial represented IRG in the Farren lease.
Financial terms and the length of the lease were not disclosed.
