New Haven to host fuel efficiency training

The National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium will host a special workshop Thursday and Friday at Gateway Community College in New Haven about new technologies to keep transportation fleets fuel efficient.

The two-day session will cover major alternative fuels, fuel economy, idle reduction, fleet applications, and petroleum reduction technologies.

Day two will feature special workshops for fleet managers, automotive students, and mechanics.

Gateway is a national training center member for NAFTC, which is a program of West Virginia University funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities Initiative
