New Haven-based Healthcare Financial Federal Credit Union says it now can serve all healthcare professionals in Connecticut and their immediate families after approval by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
The credit union already has relationships in Fairfield, Middlesex, New Haven and New London counties, and with the Yale School of Medicine. The NCUA action allows it to expand its Trade Industry Professional charter statewide, the credit union announced Tuesday.
The credit union’s strategic focus is to offer its members a wide range of technology driven delivery channels, but it still may consider additional branch offices. The credit union has three branches in Connecticut, two in New Haven and one in Bridgeport. A call inquiring about possible offices in Greater Hartford was not immediately returned.
Healthcare Financial had about $56 million in assets last year and 8,969 members.
