New Flight Exhibit Opens at The Children’s Museum

A party was held at The Children’s Museum for its newest attraction, Winging It! Adventures in Flight. The exhibit, sponsored by Hamilton Sundstrand, offers the science and fun of realistic flight simulators, building and launching paper airplanes, comparative bird flight, flight history and memorabilia, live demonstrations and a variety of on-line and take-home activities. The exhibit premiere was attended by hundreds of Hamilton Sundstrand employees and their families. The opening ceremony included brief remarks by Kevin Sullivan, president and CEO of the West Hartford museum (middle, at right, framed in doorway), and Matthew Bromberg, vice president and general manager of customer service for Hamilton Sundstrand (middle, at left, framed in doorway). Between them is Elaine McDonald, chairperson of The Children’s Museum board of trustees, and some of the many children attending the exhibit launch.
