CollectU, in partnership with UConn Athletics, is opening a brick-and-mortar retail space this April at The Shops at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor to sell authenticated memorabilia salvaged from Gampel Pavilion.
The CollectUConn featuring The Gampel Collection store, located at 200 Evergreen Way, will offer items pulled from the arena as part of its ongoing $99.4 million renovation.
The renovation’s first phase is expected to be completed by November 2026.
UConn Athletics and CollectU launched the online memorabilia sales effort in March through CollectUConn.com. CollectU, which operates the program in partnership with UConn Athletics, works with universities and venues to turn renovation materials into collectibles. The Evergreen Walk location marks the first physical retail location for the concept.
The collection includes game-used lockers, locker room and arena hallway signage and commemorative rings made from pieces of original Gampel lockers. Headline items include limited-edition Gampel seats autographed by head coaches Geno Auriemma and Dan Hurley, and tote and beach bags fashioned from official national championship banners.
The space will rotate its inventory, and items that sell will not be reproduced.
Gampel Pavilion has hosted 18 combined national championships across UConn’s men’s and women’s basketball programs since opening in 1990.
“Every piece in this collection tells a story, and giving fans the opportunity to own a part of that history is incredibly special,” said Chris Grosse, UConn’s senior associate athletic director for external strategy. A portion of proceeds will support UConn Athletics.
