New England unemployment flat

New England’s unemployment rate was 5.2 percent in March, unchanged from February but down from 6.2 percent a year ago, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Connecticut’s unemployment rate was also flat from February, at 6.4 percent, state labor officials announced last month. That was down from 6.9 percent in March 2014.

Connecticut and Rhode Island are the two New England states with unemployment above the national average.
