New drive-through COVID-19 test site to open at Bradley Airport

A drive-through COVID-19 testing site is scheduled to open next week at Bradley Airport in a joint effort by the Connecticut Airport Authority and Hartford HealthCare. The general public can get tested at the new site without appointment, along with Bradley International passengers.

Testing will be offered in a tent in the airport’s Parking Lot 3 on Schoephoester Road in Windsor Locks. Testing hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. Results are usually available within 72 hours and billing for the test is handled through individuals’ insurance plans. Residents of Massachusetts may also be tested at the drive-through airport site.

“We are very pleased to partner with Hartford HealthCare in bringing their expertise and added testing capacity to Bradley International Airport,” said Kevin A. Dillon, executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority. “This new site helps ensure adequate testing availability and convenience for residents in the region as well as our passengers.”

Another COVID-19 test site is available in Bradley Airport’s baggage claim area.
