Clean Diesel Technologies Inc. in Bridgeport has agreed to a second deadline extension, until Oct. 15, for its proposed $5 million takeover by a California maker of auto emissions systems.
The merger with Catalytic Solutions Inc., first announced last May, was to have been completed by Aug. 31 but was extended until Monday.
But a filing with federal securities regulators indicates the parties have not yet completed and filed all the necessary documents and set a date for a shareholder meeting to seal the deal.
Clean Diesel will shut its Bridgeport operation following its merger with CSI.
