JPMorgan Chase & Co. this week celebrated the recent opening of its first retail branch in Madison, located at 634 Boston Post Rd., part of its ongoing expansion plan.
Chase has indicated it is bringing 12 new branches to Connecticut and hiring approximately 100 employees to support them, including bankers, branch managers, business bankers and financial advisors.
Bob Donahue, vice president of Chase Bank, said in an announcement that Chase looks forward to helping customers during important moments, from opening a first savings account to buying a home to planning for retirement, at the Madison branch.

William Olivera, Chase market director in Connecticut, said it is important to meet customers where they live, work, play, and most importantly, bank.
“The timing felt right to grow our presence in the Shoreline region and specifically here in Madison,” he said.
JP Morgan Chase Bank bought the property in the spring of 2021 for $3.1 million. The site had previously been home to a Guilford Savings Bank branch.
The new branch features a modern design and layout and state-of-the-art technology, according to Chase. Its bankers and staff will meet with customers in designated casual spaces for consultations. There are also self-service transaction areas including a digital access bar, smart ATMs and free WiFi.
JPMorgan Chase reports that it had $3.8 trillion in assets as of September 30, 2021.
