Farmington health software provider Evariant announced that it has named Clay Ritchey its new CEO.
William Moschella, Evariant’s co-founder and former CEO for the past nine years, will remain on the company’s board of directors and senior leadership team.
“Clay’s addition to the team will free up my time to focus on what I’m most passionate about: innovating with customers and working with our partners,” Moschella said in a statement.
Moschella, a Hartford Business Journal 40 Under Forty honoree in 2012, has overseen significant growth at Evariant, which provides healthcare CRM and analytics for more than 1,000 hospitals and 50-plus health systems. The company was among seven Connecticut companies ranked in Deloitte’s 2016 Technology Fast 500 list ranking fast-growing companies releasing new technologies, particularly in software, telecommunications, life sciences and biotech. Evariant ranked No. 239. In August, it also was recognized by the Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) and Marcum LLP among 40 firms in the 2016 Marcum Tech Top 40, an annual acknowledgement of the fastest-growing technology companies in Connecticut.
Ritchey has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare technology and services organizations. Most recently, he served as general manager and chief marketing officer of Imprivata, a healthcare IT security company, where he helped lead an IPO and topline growth of more than 150 percent. Prior to Imprivata, Ritchey was CEO of private-equity held Equinox Healthcare, a post-acute healthcare services company. Before that, he held senior executive roles at Hill-Rom IT Solutions and Kronos Inc. launching new products driving more than $300 million of new revenue, Evariant said.
Evariant’s technology allows healthcare systems to perform digital marketing.
The new CEO is the second C-suite change in the last year at Evariant, which hired a new chief financial officer in mid-2016.
