A limited liability company tied to New Castle Building Products recently paid $1 million for the company’s Berlin location.
The building material supplier is headquartered in White Plains, New York and has 22 additional locations, including 191 Commerce St. in Berlin, according to its website.
NCBP East Berlin LLC, a limited liability company tied to New Castle, bought the Berlin property from 191 Commerce Street Associates in a $1 million sale recorded by the town on Sept. 22.
The 4-acre property hosts a 15,240-square-foot, metal-sided industrial building completed in 1970, according to assessing records. The building offers 24-foot wall heights.
New Castle Building Products CEO Kristopher Steele is principal of NCBP. The limited liability company formed Dec. 21, 2021.
The selling LLC’s principal is John T. McGrath, of Bloomfield. It shares a Newington address with CT Roofing Reps Inc. According to the company website, it represents Firestone Building Products, Firestone Metal Products, SkyScape Vegetative Roof System and SkyPaver paver systems in Connecticut. McGrath is president of CT Roofing Reps, according to state business records.
McGrath’s LLC paid $500,000 for the Berlin property in 2001.
