A gas station in New Canaan has sold for $5 million, according to the town’s property records.
Sami H. Jamal and Mohammad S. Jamal, both of New York City, and Jeehad S. Jamal, of Mahopac, New York, bought the one-story gas station, on a 0.31-acre parcel at 36 South Ave., from Leonard N. Fugaro, of Lagrangeville, New York, and Ishfaq Qadir, of Norwalk.
The buyers conducted the transaction under the name New Canaan Gas Realty LLC, while the sellers did business as Kasur LLC, according to state records. Fugaro and Qadir bought the property for $4.74 million in 2020.
Calls to Sami H. Jamal were not immediately returned.
The gas station, which was built in 1967 and currently dispenses Gulf gasoline, is appraised at $4.43 million and assessed at $3.1 million, property records state.
