The Wheeler Family Health & Wellness Center in New Britain announced it will relocate to a larger facility on 40 Hart Street on June 21.
The clinic, one of five Wheeler facilities in the Hartford area, will offer primary and pediatric care, women’s health care and behavioral health services. Additional medical and behavioral health services will be offered in the new location, along with a new on-site pharmacy and laboratory.
“We look forward to meeting the complex health needs of people in this city and nearby communities, many of whom struggle with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol, as well as mental health and opioid addiction and other forms of substance use,” said Wheeler President and CEO Sabrina Trocchi.
A federally qualified health center, Wheeler is currently located at 75 North Mountain Road and has been operating in New Britain since 1991. Other Wheeler clinics are located in Bristol, Hartford, Plainville and Waterbury.
