A 12-unit apartment building and a residential-style commercial building with an attached office addition in New Britain recently sold for $905,000.
A limited liability company tied to Hartford-based Carter Realty sold the properties at 231 and 235 Beaver St., along with 369 and 401 Arch St., to Winthrop Gardens LLC in a $905,000 sale recorded Dec. 20.
Winthrop Gardens shares a New Britain address with Angelo’s Market.
Annamarie Tropea, of Avon, is a principal of both Angelo’s Market and Winthrop Gardens, according to state business records. An attempt to reach Tropea Wednesday morning was not immediately successful.
Hunter Mathena, of Berlin, is the second principal of Winthrop Gardens. An attempt to reach him Wednesday morning was similarly unsuccessful.
The adjacent Beaver Street properties include a 12-unit, 7,936-square-foot apartment building completed in 1990 and one-half acre of land, according to assessing records.
The nearly half-acre property at 369 Arch St. is vacant. The six-tenths of an acre at 401 Arch St. hosts a 4,800-square-foot, residential-style commercial building completed in 1900, as well as a 3,177-square-foot office completed in 1993, according to assessing records.
