Natural gas station reaches 350K miles

The natural gas fueling station in Bridgeport provided fuel for 350,000 miles of travel in its first 90 days.

The Enviro Express station provided liquefied natural gas and compressed natural gas, to fill up the company’s fleet of 18 vehicles as well as to provide fuel for other natural gas vehicles in the area.

“We could not be happier with the results to date,” said Bill Malone, president of Enviro Express Natural Gas LLC, in a press release. “This station has invigorated the alternative fuels debate, proven a concept on a large scale for private enterprise and made the air cleaner.”

The $6.2 million station is part of the Connecticut Clean Cities Future Fuels Project and was funded partially through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
