West Haven germicide developer NanoViricides Inc. has chosen a Pennsylvania clean-room assembler, latest member of the team to build its proposed 18,000-square-foot lab and pilot drug-production facility in Shelton.
AES Clean Technology Inc., of Montgomeryville, Pa., will design and assemble the walk-in room designed to process scale, with Class 100 laminar hoods; walk-in, chemical fume hoods; Class 1,000 and Class 10,000 work areas; and entry airlock and egress systems.
Earlier, NanoViricides hired Glastonbury architect Kathyann Cowles and her Id3A LLC studio to design the facility at 1 Controls Drive that NanoViricides eventually intends to lease from a company controlled by CEO Anil Diwan.
AES and Cowles will work alongside project engineers Andrew Hahn and Phil Mader to design and complete the facility.
