The 940-space Water Street Parking Garage in New London on Friday will dedicate new electric vehicle charging able to juice up to eight cars at a time.
Stafford Springs charging station maker Juice Bar supplied the stations for the facility as part of Connecticut’s effort to have 200 charging stations around the state.
The state Department of Energy & Environmental Protection provided partial funding for the stations.
The station plans to provide free charges, free parking, and coupons for free coffer in downtown establishments during the charges, according to Kip Bochain, chairman of the New London Parking Commission.
