Small business owners in Greater New Haven can receive up to $250 by attending a workshop Wednesday on ways to reduce their energy expenses.
The workshop from 6-7 p.m. at the Savin Rock Conference Center will provide an overview of Bloomfield nonprofit Operation Fuel’s Project BEST program, which offers financial assistance for energy-saving changes. Orange electric utility United Illuminating will detail the incentive programs available to small businesses for reducing energy expenses.
Any business that has not previously attended a Project BEST workshop will receive a $100 credit on a UI bill. Businesses that complete a commercial energy assessment will be eligible for a $250 credit.
For information on Project BEST, contact Julian Freund at julian@operationfuel.org or 860-243-2345, ext. 308.
