Louisiana home health services provider Amedisys has completed its $125 million buyout of 24 New England hospice centers, including one in Stonington’s Mystic section.
First announced in April, Amedisys, based in Baton Rouge, La., closed its deal Tuesday for Boston-based Beacon Hospice Inc., although two Rhode Island state regulatory agencies have not yet given final approval, Bloomberg News reports.
Beacon Hospice has 11 locations in Massachusetts, five each in Maine and New Hampshire, two in Rhode Island, and the one in Connecticut.
