Stamford electricity and natural gas supplier MXEnergy received three programming awards for its start-up television channel MXEnergyTV.
The television channel launched five months ago to provide programming related to energy and savings. Programming for 2011 includes solar panels for school rooftops, college students promoting sustainability, and electric cars. The station is available on channel 654 on the Cablevision lineup.
On Wednesday, MXEnergyTV announced it won three Telly awards, which are given out to local, regional and cable programming and commercials. MXEnergyTV won bronze awards for editing, information and social responsibility.
“When we created MXTV just a few short months ago, I don’t think any of us dreamed we would be able to achieve such a tremendous honor so quickly,” said Marjorie Kass, MXenergy managing director, in a press release.
