Murtha Cullina LLP Partner Bruce McDermott has been appointed to a five-year term on the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Board, a 15-member panel created by a 1998 act of the state legislature to evaluate, advise and assist the state’s utility companies in developing and implementing energy conservation and market-transformation plans to help Connecticut consumers reduce energy use in their homes and businesses and to help the state meet its energy needs.
McDermott co-chairs Murtha Cullina’s Energy Practice Group and heads its Renewable Energy Practice Group.
He received his LL.M in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law, his JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a BA from Lafayette College.
