Murtha Cullina names DelMonico managing partner

Law firm Murtha Cullina has said it elected Jennifer Morgan DelMonico as managing partner.

DelMonico is a trial lawyer who joined the firm in 2000, becoming a partner in 2005. She is the immediate past chair of the firm’s litigation department and previously led its New Haven office.

She succeeds Elizabeth J. Stewart, who has held the position since 2009. In a statement, Stewart called DelMonico a “recognized leader throughout the firm.”

DelMonico steps into the leading role at a firm of more than 100 attorneys in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

She is chair of the Board of Easter Seals Goodwill Industries, the secretary and general counsel of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and a James W. Cooper Fellow of Connecticut Bar Foundation.Â
