Hartford-based law firm Murtha Cullina has established an entertainment and sports practice group, following its recent hire of a longtime specialist in the niche.
William F. Fitzgerald, who chairs the new group, joined Murtha’s Stamford office in May. He previously practice sports and entertainment law independently as well as at firms in New York and New Jersey.
The group will assist athletes, actors, models and a range of other industry positions with transactions involving artist management, literary publishing, film and television, record contracts and employment agreements.
Murtha said it counts New York Rangers centerman Mika Zibanejad as a client, and has Connecticut clients in digital music recording, video production, and a record label.
