Connecticut U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy announced Monday he is moving his downtown Hartford office to Colt Gateway, part of the major new commercial development in Coltsville that the city planned in conjunction with its “national park” designation.
Murphy’s office relocated from 1 Constitution Plaza to the renovated East Armory building of the Colt Factory, at 120 Huyshope Ave., Suite 401, in the city’s South End.
Murphy partnered with U.S. Rep. John Larson, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, and the rest of the Connecticut congressional delegation to secure congressional approval for the creation of a Coltsville National Historical Park.
“There is no more iconic landmark in Connecticut, and I’m so excited to be a pioneer in the reinvention of this historic property,” said Murphy in a statement. “The community at Colt Gateway is connecting businesses and Hartford residents to this historic birthplace of Connecticut manufacturing.”
