Municipal debt focus of UConn event

Experts will debate mounting concerns about the $2.9 trillion municipal finance market at a downtown Hartford forum on Thursday.

The session will begin at 7 p.m. at the University of Connecticut School of Business’s Graduate Business Learning Center, 100 Constitution Plaza.

UConn, its Financial Accelerator and the Hartford CFA Society are sponsors.

Peter M. Gioia, vice president and economist at the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, will moderate a panel consisting of: Robert A. DiMella, CFA, senior managing director for MacKay Shields; Timothy M. Heaney CFA, senior portfolio manager for Virtus Investment Adviser; and Gail Sussman, managing director of U.S. Public Finance at Moody’s Investors Service
