An East Hampton developer is reviving a new plan for multifamily housing along Main Street in Middletown.
David Coleman, principal of Hillside Investments LLC, is owner and applicant for the project at 173-179 Butternut St., Middletown, near Thomas Street, in a multifamily zone.
He is seeking approval of a modified site plan for The Residence at Hillside, which was approved in 2019 for four townhome-style buildings with multiple units, according to city land use officials.
The new application calls for a smaller project, with 14 units in two, 2,000-square-foot buildings over 2 acres, including studio and one-bedroom apartments, 25 parking spaces, sidewalks, a fitness room and resident storage area, according to the application.
An existing building and garage at 179 Butternut will be demolished to make room for the new buildings.
