A Massachusetts-based developer is looking to construct a multi-tenant industrial building on Moody Road in Enfield.
The applicant, 29 Moody Road LLC of Longmeadow, Mass., and principals Adam Oliveri, N. Andrew Robb and Marc Murphy Jr., have submitted an application to Enfield’s Inland Wetlands Agency to build a 19,800-square-foot contractor workshop facility on 4.7 acres at 29 Moody Road.
The land is currently vacant and undeveloped.Â
This project is modified from an earlier plan that called for a 34,200-square-foot building with 19 Â rental bays, according to the application.
The new plans, changed to reduce wetland impact on nearby Freshwater Brook, now contain room for 11 bays, each at 30 feet by 60 feet.
The facility would be ideal for tenants who conduct light manufacturing and assembly, including repairs, warehousing and storage, packaging and distribution of goods, and service and special trade contractors such as building or landscaping, the applicants said.Â
Toxic, hazardous or combustible materials would not be allowed on site, nor will there be any outdoor storage, automotive repairs, or retail sales allowed, and the facility will not be open to the public, the application said.Â
The property would also contain a retaining wall and parking.
The wetlands agency has set a public hearing on the application for later this month.
