M&T Bank sells shuttered 6,106-square-foot bank branch in Vernon for $250,000

An 1850-vintage bank building in the Rockville section of Vernon was recently sold by M&T Bank for $250,000.

The 6,106-square-foot, brick and masonry building on nearly eight-tenths of an acre at 25 Park St. was one of 18 United Bank branches to close following Hartford-based United’s $759 million acquisition by People’s United Bank in 2019.

O,R&L Commercial began marketing the building for $399,000 in 2020, according to Patch.com.

Subsequently, People’s United and its assets, including 25 Park St., were purchased by M&T in an $8.3 billion deal completed in April of 2022.

The Manufacturers and Traders Trust Co. – which does business as M&T – sold the building to International Disaster Management Inc., of Cheektowaga, New York in a $250,000 deal recorded July 11.

Formed in 2020, International Disaster Management provides flaggers and other traffic control measures around infrastructure worksites. Attempts to reach a company representative were unsuccessful.

Thomas Wilke and Andrew Hale of O,R&L Commercial were the listing brokers.Â
