M&T Bank has opened a seventh full-service branch in Bridgeport, on the city’s East End.
The 1,538-square-foot branch, which employs five full-time employees, is located at 1224 Stratford Ave., in Honey Locust Square, a mixed-use office-retail development recently completed by Bridgeport-based Ashlar Construction.
The branch offers a teller service, walk-up ATM and private offices for financial consultations.
Buffalo, New York-based M&T Bank operates Bridgeport Center, its New England regional headquarters, in the former headquarters of People’s Bank, which M&T acquired for $8.3 billion in 2022.
The bank, which operates in eight states from New York to Virginia and Washington, D.C., has about $212 billion in assets. M&T Bank Corp., its parent company, is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol MTB.
