Movers & Shakers: Nunnallee promoted to VP of implementations at Payrailz

Song Nunnallee was promoted to vice president of implementations at payment products at Glastonbury digital payments vendor Payrailz, where she will now lead a team responsible for guiding Payrailz’ bank and credit union clients as they implement the company’s smart-payments technology. 

Nunnallee was most recently director of implementations at Payrailz.

M. Kate Van Valkenburg has joined the Connecticut team of NBT Bank, an independent, community bank based in Norwich, N.Y., as senior vice president and senior commercial banking relationship manager. 

Van Valkenberg previously served as commercial loan officer for ION Bank in Farmington.

James Horwitz has been named to the board of directors of the Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut (BIAC).

Horwitz, managing attorney at Bridgeport law firm Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder, has represented many clients with brain injuries, and is a long-time supporter of BIAC.

Sean Genden has joined Hartford-based insurance company The Hartford as head of international insurance.

Prior to joining The Hartford, Genden held a number of leadership roles at Travelers’ Insurance.

The Connecticut Science Center in Hartford has named seven new trustees to its board.

New members include Jerry Fan, vice president, Burns & McDonnell; Rhona Free, president, University of St. Joseph; David Glidden, CEO and president, Liberty Bank; Geoff Hunt, senior vice president, engineering, Pratt & Whitney; Martin John, vice president corporate controller, HSB Group; Darcy O’Connor, director of corporate responsibility impact, Voya; and Cynthia Vodopivec, vice president of environmental, health and safety, Vistra Energy.

Dallas C. Dodge has been appointed as corporation counsel for the town of West Hartford, where he will provide legal services to West Hartford through his law firm, the Law Office of Dallas Dodge PLLC.

Dodge is currently a partner at Roy & Leroy LLC, a government relations consulting firm.

Heather B. Bearfield has joined the advisory services group at West Hartford-based accounting and consulting firm blumshapiro as partner for cyber and IT risk services, responsible for managing risk and building information security management programs for clients. 

Bearfield previously served as principal of cyber and IT risk services and national service line leader at Boston-based Marcum LLP.

Dr. Robert Krug was elected incoming chairman of the board of directors for the American Medical Rehabilitation Provider’s Association (AMRPA).

Krug is president of Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Hartford.
