Dr. Laurie Anne Loiacono was appointed vice chair of the department of surgery and director of surgical education at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford. She is currently the director of surgical critical care and her new appointments are in addition to her previous position.

Dr. Richard Everson joined the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Connecticut at the University of Connecticut Health Center as deputy director for cancer control. Previously, Everson was a professor of medicine at the Hudson-Webber Cancer Research Center in Detroit.

Jackson Lewis in Hartford appointed David Jimenez partner and co-chair of the firm’s corporate governance practice group. Previously, Jimenez was vice president of employee relations and associate general counsel at The Hartford Financial Services Group.

Employee Family Protection Inc. in Glastonbury recently hired John Delande as an account executive and Cindy Fagan was hired as an operations associate specializing in governmental affairs.

Full Capture Solutions Inc. in East Hartford made the following appointments to director of business development: Andrew Blume, James Collings, and Sean Moore.

Clarence W. Corbin was named director of Department of Public Works for the City of Hartford. Previously he was director of Public Works in New Britain.

The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain appointed Dr. Robert Napoletano associate chief of surgery. Previously he was an attending surgeon and head of the vascular surgery section at the hospital.

Sullivan, Schoen, Campane & Connon named Brook Sherer associate. Sherer represents boards of education and municipalities in cases involving labor, employment and education law claims.

Robyn C. Abbate joined Reid and Riege in Hartford as an associate in the commercial practice group. Previously, Abbate was an associate at Halloran and Sage in Hartford.

Standard-Knapp Inc. in Portland named Maxwell Ziegler technical writer. Ziegler will be the lead author on many of the company’s manuals.

The following people were named to the board of directors at The Children’s Museum in West Hartford: Robert Brody, senior vice president, Travelers insurance management team; and Larry H. Hartshorn, head of data warehouse and electronic tools, Aetna.

The Connecticut Health Foundation in New Britain appointed Onell Jesus Calderas program officer and Madeline Perez program coordinator. Previously, Calderas was a consultant at the state Department of Public Health and Perez was an administrative assistant at the foundation.
