Movers & Shakers: MahoneySabol hires senior manager at Glastonbury office

Here are several recent staffing shakeups in Greater Hartford.

Brendan O’Brien was hired as a senior manager in the audit department at the Glastonbury office for regional certified public accounting firm MahoneySabol, where he will assist the audit department in managing financial statement audits, reviews and compilations.

O’Brien previously held the position of audit senior manager at Deloitte in Hartford.

Law firm Shipman & Goodwin LLP announced promotions of three attorneys at the firm’s Hartford office. 

Julia R. Camarco and Michael Chase were promoted to partner and Danielle McGrath Braun, promoted to counsel.

Hartford government relations firm Sullivan & LeShane Inc. has promoted Michael Johnson to the position of vice president, government affairs and Ryan Bingham to senior director of government affairs. Both will handle state and local government clients.

Johnson has worked for Sullivan & LeShane since 2011, and Bingham started there in 2016.

John P. Shea Jr. has joined workplace law firm Jackson Lewis PC as counsel at the firm’s Hartford office, where he will represent and advise employers in labor and employment law matters.

Shea has represented public and private employers in labor and employment law for about 20 years.

Rosemary Briglia was named executive vice president, chief operating officer at Thomaston Savings Bank, a mutual savings bank.

Briglia most recently served as the bank’s senior vice president, senior retail banking officer. 

Christopher Smith has been appointed to the position of vice president of human resources for Comcast’s Western New England Region in Berlin, where he will support more than 1,600 employees and oversee all of the region’s human resources functions.

Smith previously served as HR vice president at NiSource, an 8,000-employee utility company based in Indiana.

Kelly A. Scott has been named a member at law firm Pullman & Comley LLC, where she will represent clients in all areas of matrimonial and family law.
