The Shelter for Women in Hartford elected the following new board members: Constance Clark, community volunteer; Maria Manuela Da Costa, psychiatrist, New Britain General Hospital; Cathy Iacovazzi, private clients group consultant, Travelers; Charmaigne Parkins, president, CCNL Solutions; and Toni Smith Rosario, assistant state’s attorney.
Jacqueline Harder has been named president-elect of the New England Society of Radiation Therapists. Harder is currently director of operations in the department of radiation therapy at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford.
Riverfront Recapture appointed the following people to its board of directors: Daniel S. Matos, principal and founder, The Matos Group LLC; Jim Barnes, president and CEO, Oakleaf Waste Management; Jay L. Bruns III, vice president of public policy, The Hartford Financial Services Group; and Paul Alfonso, system administrator, Trumbull-Services.
Kaman Industrial Technologies in Windsor promoted Mark C. Chmielecki to director, compensation and benefits. Previously, Chmielecki was manager, compensation and benefits.
Kaman Industrial Technologies also promoted James G. Sage to director, corporate purchasing. Sage previously was manager of corporate purchasing.
The Energy Conservation Management Board in New Britain elected Richard W. Steeves as chairperson. Steeves is currently the principal utilities finance specialist for the Connecticut office of Consumer Counsel. The board also elected Jeffrey Gaudiosi to vice chairperson. Gaudiosi is vice president of the Manufacturing Alliance of Connecticut.
Lynette J. Coleman has been promoted to chapter programs director of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, greater Connecticut chapter. Previously, Coleman served as assistant chapter programs director.
Cashman & Katz Integrated Communications in Glastonbury hired Aaron Houck as art director, Tory Lawson as public relations associate and Kristin Shumway as associate art director. Previously, Houck worked at Campbell-Ewald on Chevrolet and Michelin tire accounts. Lawson previously worked as an information systems analyst and legal assistant. Shumway had previous intern experience at Think Creative Group.
