Gary T. Long was appointed assistant vice president of corporate risk, safety and environmental management at Kaman Corp. Previously, Long held a similar position at Belden in Missouri.

Rockville Bank appointed William Ragno branch manager in the Enfield branch. Ragno is a councilman-at-large for Enfield and is a council liason to the town’s veteran’s council.

The University of Connecticut School of Medicine appointed David M. Mack assistant clinical professor. Currently, Mack is a health care lawyer at Robinson & Cole.

The National Kidney Foundation hired Terri Smith as Urban Outreach Coordinator. Smith will educate the state’s minority population about the health risks of high blood pressure and diabetes.

Dennis McConville was named senior vice president of strategic and operational planning at Eastern Connecticut Health Network. Most recently, McConville was vice president of strategic and operational planning at Manchester Memorial Hospital.

Elizabeth Cromwell Speers was appointed head of The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury. Currently, Speers is the assistant head of school and dean of faculty at Episcopal Academy in Pennsylvania.

Kevin Kirk was appointed vice president and director of national sales for the retirement plans group at The Hartford Financial Services Group. Kirk has held a variety of positions at The Hartford spanning over 30 years.
