Movers & Shakers: Alleyne elected chair of Connecticut Health Foundation

Dr. Kenneth Alleyne was elected chair of the board of directors at the Connecticut Health Foundation, an independent health philanthropy focused on health equity causes.

Alleyne is a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon, and co-founder of Zing Health, a Medicare Advantage plan, and HartHaven Partners, a healthcare investment firm.

Kate Engler has joined Plainfield-based multi-disciplinary engineering firm Loureiro Engineering  as an associate in its Environmental Assessment Division.

Engler previously worked as branch manager of the New England Division at Apex Companies LLC, where she was responsible for the financial performance and growth of the company’s environmental program.

Amy Stepnowski was promoted to the position of chief investment officer of The Hartford, and president of Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMCO) effective Aug. 1.

Stepnowski is currently managing director and head of Public Credit Research at HIMCO.

Steve Tuzeneu was named general manager and chief engineer at WIHS 104.9 FM Christian radio, a Middletown radio station.

Tuzeneu, who worked for WIHS from 1985 to 1991, has more than 45 years experience working at a diverse set of radio stations.

Amy Lin Meyerson was named president of the Connecticut Bar Association.

Lin Meyerson is a solo practitioner at The Law Office of Amy Lin Meyerson in Weston.

Karen Geiger and Steve Leivent were named co-heads of SS&C Advent at Windsor-based financial-technology services vendor SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc. 

Geiger will manage the SS&C Advent Asset Management and Alternatives solution portfolio, and Leivent will manage SS&C Advent’s Advisory focused business.
