The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s board of directions has appointed five doctors to the hospital’s medical staff: Justin Lundbye, Natalee Sansone, Ulysses Wu, James Nugent and Julie Gershon.

Lundbye been named director, division of cardiology, effective July 1, and also has an office at 80 Seymour St., Hartford. Lundbye earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in the West Indies. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Connecticut; and a cardiology fellowship at Hartford Hospital.

Sansone earned her medical degree at MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine (now Drexel University College of Medicine) in Philadelphia. She completed an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at New York Hospital Queens in Flushing, N.Y. She practices at Grove Hill Medical Center, 300 Kensington Ave., New Britain.

Wu practices at The Hospital of Central Connecticut Department of Medicine/Infectious Diseases. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Christiana Care Health System, Newark, Del. (formerly known as Medical Center of Delaware) and was chief medical resident, internal medicine, at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. He completed an infectious diseases fellowship at Rush University in Chicago.

Nugent, who has been in practice 22 years, will be part of the Connecticut Surgical Group, 1 Liberty Square in New Britain. He earned his degree in podiatric medicine at Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (now Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine) in Philadelphia. He completed a residency at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Philadelphia.

Gershon, who has been in practice 13 years, will work with Mandell & Blau, MDs, PC, at Imaging Center of West Hartford and Buckland Hills Imaging in South Windsor. She earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston and completed a radiology residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami.

Robin Ann Bienemann of Touchstone Advisors has been named the first “Entrepreneur in Residence” at the University of Connecticut’s School of Engineering. Bienemann will work with the university to strengthen relationships with technology-related companies throughout the state. At Touchstone Advisors, she advises companies looking to increase their value though improved business processes and innovation. She is also chairman and founder of Crimson Rook LLC, a Connecticut-based firm specializing in helping small and mid-size companies increase value through improved business processes and innovation.

McCarter & English announced that Timothy Fisher, a partner in the firm’s Hartford office, has been elected president of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, a nonprofit founded in 1952 that is the primary source of funding for all legal aid in the state. Fisher is a partner in the firm’s real estate/ construction/ environmental practice group. Fisher recently served on the Governor’s Commission on Judicial Reform and was a long-time member of the Board of Directors of Greater Hartford Legal Aid, Inc. He is the 2008 recipient of the Connecticut Bar Association’s John Eldred Shields Distinguished Professional Service Award.

Mike Henzy has been named chief estimator at PDS Engineering & Construction, Inc., in Bloomfield. Henzy has more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in estimating/project management in private, commercial and public sector. In his new position, he is responsible for preparing estimates for plan and spec projects and design build projects, including purchasing phases of jobs awarded. PDS Engineering & Construction has been in business for the last 45 years and offers a range of services from pre-construction services to complete contracting.

Attorney Andi Hallier has joined IRS Medic in Wallingford as an associate. She brings experience in labor and employment issues, as well as civil litigation in such matters as premises and products liability, insurance, asbestos and medical malpractice defense, to personal injury, family law, unfair trade and insurance practices and consumer credit matters. She had been an associate at Littler Mendelson, P.C. in New Haven. In 2009, she was the recipient of the Chairman’s Award from the Coordinating Council for Children in Crisis. In 2005, she was the recipient of the Champions of Liberty Award from the Connecticut Civil Liberties Union for her pro bono work on behalf of mentally ill prisoners.

Larry Piretti of Ellington will take on the role of director of client services at Market Mentors, LLC, in western Massachusetts. Piretti will assist in managing and developing client relationships and will oversee the day to day operations of account services staff. Piretti had been director of marketing for Bernie’s TVs, Appliances & More! in Enfield and has held similar positions with Yankee Candle in South Deerfield, MA, Bob’s Stores in Meriden, and KGA Advertising, formerly in Middletown.

Employee-owned industrial wholesaler, Atlantic Fasteners of West Springfield, Mass., has hired eight-year sales professional Jay Lachance to manage a new sales territory in eastern Massachusetts. Atlantic Fasteners’ Connecticut customers comprise 26 percent of its $13 million business. Lachance’s background includes eight years in advertising and financial sales.
