has been named an executive vice president of Rockville Bank. The announcement was made by William J. McGurk, Rockville Bank president and chief executive officer, at the bank’s annual meeting. Trachimowicz has been senior vice president of human resources and administrative services for Rockville Bank since 2005. Prior to that position, he was the bank’s senior vice president and retail banking officer.

As an executive vice president, Trachimowicz is responsible for Rockville’s retail banking, human resources, marketing, legal, facilities, purchasing and project management. In the community, he is a board member of the Manchester Community College Foundation and of the Center for Financial Training — Atlantic and Central States. He also is a member of the management committee of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management.

Prior to joining Rockville Bank, Trachimowicz worked for 20 years at Northeast Savings Bank in Hartford in a variety of management positions.

Stephen H. Jackson has joined J.H. Cohn LLP as a partner in its Glastonbury office.

Jackson, a CPA, was the managing partner of the Hartford office of a national accounting firm. While there, he was also a leader in their New England SEC practice serving as coordinating partner on several public company audits. He was also the coordinating partner on a variety of other middle market companies including manufacturers, large physician practices, technology, and not-for-profit organizations. He has extensive experience advising management on business combinations, SEC registration statements, internal controls, financial instruments, stock based compensation, and other technical accounting, reporting and auditing matters.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. He serves as the president of the Connecticut Rivers Council, BSA and has been a coordinator of workplace campaigns for the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut and the Greater Hartford Arts Council. J.H. Cohn is one of the 15 largest accounting and consulting firms in the United States.

Control Station Inc. of Tolland has promoted Robert C. Rice to vice president of engineering. The promotion reflects Rice’s contributions to product innovation and to the establishment of the company’s LOOP-PRO Product Suite as the industry-leading PID controller tuning and process optimization technology. Rice, who had served as director of engineering since 2004, oversees all of Control Station’s product development activities. Private-labeled versions of LOOP-PRO are distributed by other leading automation companies including Yokogawa Corporation of America and NovaTech Process Solutions. Dr. Rice also supervised the development of a tuning solution that integrates seamlessly with Rockwell Automation’s PlantPAx and FactoryTalk platforms.

Hoffman Architects, a regional architectural and engineering firm, has promoted three employees to project manager positions in its Hamden office.

Erin Aichler, who investigates building distress, provides remediation recommendations and administers construction. She is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and a graduate of Roger Williams University in Rhode Island;

Robert Marsoli Jr., who specializes in structural design and modification. He holds a civil engineering degree from Northeastern University;

Benjamin Robinson, who works on diverse restoration, rehabilitation and peer review projects across various sectors. He is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and a graduate of Connecticut College.

CB Richard Ellis Capital Markets has appointed Michael Riccio to oversee its Debt & Equity Finance practice in the Northeast region. Riccio, a senior vice president, works out of CBRE’s Hartford office.

He has more than 26 years of commercial real estate experience and is serving a two-year term as president of the Real Estate Finance Association Connecticut. He has been an active member of International Council of Shopping Centers, the Institute of Real Estate Management, the National Council of Real Estate Fiduciaries and currently serves as past president and board member of the Hartford chapter of REFA.
