Marcum LLP, an independent accounting firm, has appointed Frank Rudewicz to lead its advisory services division in New England. Rudewicz brings more than 25 years experience providing legal and investigative services to public and private entities. He will be splitting his time among Marcum’s Boston, New Haven and Hartford offices. He has held positions with the Hartford police department as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He is an attorney and member of the Connecticut Bar as well as the holder of private investigative licenses in both Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Jane Weber Brubaker has been named marketing manager at Connecticut Community Care, Inc. in Bristol. Brubaker, a newcomer to Central Connecticut, has held marketing management positions at several major publishers in the Greater New York Area including Reader’s Digest, International Masters Publishers, Inc. and The Taunton Press. She is an industry leader in the direct and interactive marketing field and is a past president of the Direct Marketing Club of New York and has served on the executive committee of the DMA Echo Awards. She has been an adjunct professor of direct and interactive marketing at Mercy College in New York and holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

Also at Connecticut Community Care Inc., Therese A. Nadeau has been named program coordinator of the Self-Directed Supports Program, which was developed through a grant from the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities. Her responsibilities include oversight and ongoing program development. Nadeau is the chief author of “You are Now the Employer of Personal Care Assistants,” the handbook used during training sessions. Nadeau also conducts presentations statewide and nationally in regard to supports for people with disabilities. She has been involved in educating on emergency preparedness for people with disabilities, working with first responders and other emergency planners to evaluate the needs of people with disabilities in shelters and evacuation planning, awareness and training. She holds a master’s in social work.

Norcom Insurance, an independent insurance provider, has hired Deb Cleary, Josh Gillooly, and Christopher Berning as account executives for its insurance division.

Cleary has several years of health and life insurance experience and is also a licensed property-casualty insurance representative. Gillooly joins Norcom after 15 years in banking, where he held investment and life insurance sales positions. He is also a licensed property-casualty insurance representative. Berning has several years of insurance experience and is a licensed property-casualty insurance representative.

Richard Graziano has been re-elected a national vice president of the Muscular Dystrophy Association national leadership position. Graziano was re-elected to a one-year term at the association’s annual meeting in Los Angeles on July 16. Graziano is publisher of the Hartford Courant and is vice president and general manager of Fox affiliate WTIC-TV in Hartford. MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research.

Haroon Khan, former finance director to U.S. Sen. Christopher J. Dodd, has been appointed an advisor for public affairs at Veria, a newly launched healthy lifestyle and wellness media network. Prior to managing the daily financial strategy for Dodd, Khan served as senior political advisor to U.S. Sen. Tim Johnson and political director for U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
