Mario L. Solari joined Whittlesey & Hadley, P.C., as a partner in its financial institutions group. Since 1993, he has been with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Hartford, most recently serving as managing director. Solari, a CPA, is a life-long Connecticut resident and he has served community banks and smaller public banks. Prior to PwC, he was with Ernst & Young for eight years. He has served on the advisory board of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and as chair of its financial institutions committee. He also serves on the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Promise Ball Corporate Committee. Whittlesey & Hadley, P.C. is a leading, regional provider of accounting, financial and business consulting services. It is headquartered in Hartford.

Bruce Ditman has been named chief marketing officer for Marcum LLP, the national accounting and consulting firm with offices in Hartford and New Haven. Ditman had been national marketing director of UHY Advisors, which became part of Marcum earlier this year. Ditman has experience in advertising, television, and talent agencies. In the new role he will oversee national branding, marketing, advertising and public relations for the firm as well as develop new business.

Hoffman Auto Group has named Anne Bjorkland its director of facilities and property management. Bjorkland has been with the company for five years, and will now oversee the continued development of Hoffman of East Hartford, Avon and New London. The group recently completed a $32 million expansion and renovation of facilities. Also, Meredith Robert has been promoted to oversee corporate banking and claims administration. Robert has been with the company for two years. Each previously held the position of business administrator. In their new roles, Bjorkland and Robert will report to co-chairmen Jeffrey and Bradley Hoffman.

Day Pitney LLP has added three first-year associates in its Connecticut law offices. Erika D. Cagney will be in the labor and employment litigation practice in Hartford. She received a J.D. degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2010. Allison E. Cantor joins the intellectual property practice in Hartford. She graduated this year from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Christopher M. Wasil will join the commercial litigation practice in the Stamford office. He is a 2010 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he served as editor in chief of Pro Se, the student newspaper.

Karen Dubanoski has been promoted to assistant vice president/deposit operations officer at Rockville Bank. She is responsible for facilitating the functions of the operations area, which include cash management, wire transfers, EFT, ACH, item processing, IRA’s, ATM and debit card processing, research items, adjustment processing and service of processing, as well as other deposit-related functions. Dubanoski joined Rockville Bank in June of 2009 and has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry including bank operations, accounting, and data processing.

Sean C. Conboy has joined Baumer Ltd. as the Southington company’s Midwest regional sales manager with responsibility for territorial sales, management and oversight of the technical sales team, and supervision of the company’s distribution network. He brings 19 years of sales and sales management experience, specializing in automation, controls, motion and electronic components. Most recently, he was regional sales manager of CST BEI Kimco and area sales manager of Carlo Gavazzi Inc. Baumer Ltd. is the U.S. division of The Baumer Group, which is based in Switzerland.
