Component Engineers Inc. has named Richard Griffin as its chief operating officer and Clayton (CJ) Oliver as its chief financial officer. Griffin, who is in his 16th year with the Wallingford firm, will continue to function as general manager and add responsibilities for design engineering and quality control. Oliver has served in accounting and as office manager. Brittany Marino will become office manager. She has been with Component Engineers for more than three as executive administrator as well as handling the day-to-day human resource duties. The second generation family owned company employs about 90 in the design and manufacture of metal components.

Janine Kent has been named chief financial officer for the Zuzolo Financial Group of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. She had been an accounting manager for Colfax Corp. The group has seven locations in Connecticut and Massachusetts. It has more than 109,000 policies in force, which has a face value of more than $19 billion.

Engineering firm Tighe & Bond, with offices in Middletown and Shelton, has named two new vice presidents. Promoted were Mary Beth Morris, who has served as director of marketing for the past 15 years, and David Murphy, a professional civil engineer who has served as a senior project manager for more than three years. Morris is past president of the Connecticut Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and previously served on New England Water Works Association’s Financial Management Committee. Murphy specializes in renewable energy, solid waste, soils and materials management, project and construction management, brownfields redevelopment and site remediation. Tighe & Bond, a design and environmental engineering firm which is marking its 100th year in business, also has three offices in Massachusetts and one in New Hampshire.

Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP has named three new partners — Daniel M. Deschenes in the law firm’s Construction & Public Contracts Group; Christina L. Lewis in the Labor & Employment Group and Andrea J. Mealey in the Intellectual Property Group.

The Pert Group, a research-based consulting firm headquartered in Bloomfield, has added Elizabeth Jaccoma and Julie Rippberger as account manager and promoted Julianne Crum to account manager, all within the company’s Financial and Industry Group. Jaccoma previously served as director, account executive for TNS Global Research. Rippberger, who will serve as client service account manager for the Financial and Industry Group, has experience designing and implementing methodologies for corporate research. Kara Segreto has been named chief marketing officer for Prudential Retirement. In this role, Segreto will oversee the development and execution of Prudential Retirement’s marketing programs that support the organization’s overall strategy and plans for its defined contribution, defined benefit, stable value, retirement income, retirement plan strategies, pension risk transfer, and non-qualified benefits lines of business. She has held a number of marketing positions at Prudential including leading Prudential Retirement’s Integrated Marketing & Strategy. She also and was director of participant programs.

Susan R. Orred has been named director of development and marketing at the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks. She previously served as a museum educator and was responsible for the delivery of most of the museum’s formal education programs offered to area schools. The New England Air Museum is the largest aviation museum in New England.

Jonathan P. Wagner has joined Ilford’s Avon-based national sales team as its northeast regional sales representative. Wagner had been the professional photography sales trainer and in-house sales specialist at B&H Professional Photo Video Audio. Previously, he was a founding partner in a fine art gallery located in New York City. Ilford develops and manufactures media for both inkjet printing and color photographic processes.

Jerry Kelly has joined Velocity Print Solutions in Middlebury as an account executive. Jerry has over 20 years of experience in the print and mail industry and most recently was with Printech. Velocity Print Solutions has offices in Boston and Albany as well as Middlebury.
