Webster Bank has appointed two new executives. Greg Madar, senior vice president, controller, has been promoted to senior vice president, chief accounting officer. He will lead all accounting functions, including general accounting, financial reporting, treasury operations, Sarbanes-Oxley, and operational accounting. Madar has been with Webster since 1995, starting as vice president, tax manager. He was promoted to senior vice president, assistant controller in 2000, and senior vice president, controller in 2002.Previously, Madar served as a tax manager for KPMG. Also, Chris Ziluca becomes chief credit officer, responsible for managing the credit approval and policy function, as well as for managing and enhancing credit risk management and infrastructure. He has more than 25 years of credit and financial service experience most recently with CIT, where he held several roles including chief credit risk officer and interim chief risk officer. The Waterbury-based bank is a subsidiary of Webster Financial Corp.

Kimberly “Kim” Wiezbicki Trudeau of Enfield has been named executive director of the North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. She brings more than 30 years of experience in business development and fund raising. Trudeau was formerly the alumni relations director at Westfield State College in Westfield, Mass. She also has been the development officer for American International College in Springfield, Mass., and general manager of Bluebird Acres in East Longmeadow, Mass., a 100-plus acre family-owned farm and whole foods market. She has a juris doctorate degree from Western New England College in Springfield. She served four years as first selectman in East Longmeadow and is a past president of the Springfield Rotary. She is a member of the Foundation Fund Development Committee of the Eastern States Exposition where she has been a trustee since 1993.

St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center has added two doctors to its medical staff. Pavani Reddy Pingle, an obstetrician/gynecologist, is practicing as a member of Advanced OB/GYN Doctors LLC. She received her medical degree from Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal, India. She served as a resident in nuclear medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center; a resident in general surgery at Nassau University Medical Center, East Meadow, N.Y.; a resident in obstetrics/gynecology at Nassau University Medical Center; and a resident in gynecologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York. In addition to English, she speaks Telugu, Hindi, Urdu and some Spanish. She is experienced in international medicine and minimally invasive surgery techniques.
Also, Sowmya S. Kurtakoti, a family practitioner, is practicing at Access Healthcare PC in Farmington. She received her medical degree from B.M. Patil Medical College, Bijapur, India. She served as an intern at Saint Martha’s Hospital, Bangalore, India; a resident in family medicine at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis; and a fellow in geriatrics at Hennepin County Medical Centre/University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.

AES Remedial Contracting LLC in Southington has named John J. Mullen Jr. as an account manager. Previously, Mullen was a manager with Clean Harbors Environmental Services Corp. in Norwell, Mass., for 23 years. AES is an environmental remediation contracting and construction company, working throughout New England.

The Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation Inc. in Bloomfield has added two executives. Michael J. Bednar becomes the first-ever staff veterinarian and will hold the title of director of animal services. He will be responsible for creating a new, unified Department of Animal Medical Services, working with the organization’s veterinarian consultants to implement best practices. Bednar has been a captain in the United States Army Veterinary Corps where he served as head veterinarian for three military installations: the New London Submarine Base in Groton; the Naval Station Newport in Newport, RI; and the Massachusetts Military Reservation in Cape Cod, Mass. Also, Vanessa Giannasi has been named vice president and director of development. She had been associate director of The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford. She also worked as the Bushnell’s grants and government relations manager. Giannasi has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Hartford, teaching an undergraduate course in fundraising.

Joe Furman has joined Automated Logic Corp in Wallingford as a senior sales executive. In his new role Furman provides customers temperature control and energy solutions for building systems. He is also the assistant regional chair of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers whose mission is to advance the arts and sciences of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigerating to promote a sustainable world.
