Michael Harder joined Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. of Plainville as the company’s technical director for municipal services. From 1974 to 2006, Harder worked for the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, most recently as chief of the bureau of waste management. Since leaving state service, Harder volunteered for the Town of Hebron, helping with recycling and waste management programs. He is the vice chairman of the Hebron Conservation Commission and a member of the DEP Solid Waste Advisory Committee.

Dr. Elizabeth Cipes Chisholm joined Cipes Pediatric Dentistry of West Hartford bringing specialty education including work with autism to the 25-year-old practice. At the 25-year-old practice, Chisholm joins her mother, Dr. Monica Cipes, who was recently recognized in Connecticut Magazine by her peers as one of the state’s top five dentists. Chisholm is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and has an advanced degree in pediatric dentistry. Chisholm specializes in improving dental experience for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

United Solutions Inc., of Marlboro, Mass., hired Douglas Lewanda to firm up its Connecticut presence and provide training and customization services for its Sage Timberline Office software. Lewanda will operate out of a Hartford office, providing software solutions for construction, property management and service businesses throughout New England. Before joining United Solutions, Lewanda was president of CFO Consulting, LLC in Farmington, servicing New England and New York.

He has more than 20 years of experience in the legal services industry, a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Tétreault, 25, joined Wallace-Tustin at 18 as a summer intern and real estate sales associate while earning her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant University. Tétreault works with buyers and sellers in Harford and Tolland County.

Edward Forand of West Hartford has been elected chair of the board of directors of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, the community foundation for the 29-town Greater Hartford region. In other foundation board appointments, Yvette Meléndez of Glastonbury was elected vice chair and Robert Goldfarb of West Hartford was re-elected treasurer.
