St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford has named two new C-level executives. Dawn Bryant becomes senior vice president/chief human resources officer. She had served as vice president of human resources and organizational development at Carondelet Health, Kansas City, Mo. And, Linda Shanley becomes vice president/chief information officer, responsible for all activities related to information technology. She had served as the chief information officer at Stony Brook University Medical Center, Stony Brook, N.Y. She also previously served as the assistant vice president of clinical enterprise systems at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Daniel P. Murphy has joined the Hartford law firm of Kainen, Escalera & McHale P.C. He had been with the state Department of Education as director of the division of legal and governmental affairs. Previously, while in private practice, Murphy represented boards of education, municipalities and private employers in all aspects of labor, employment and education law. He further represented employers in business related immigration matters.

Post University in Waterbury has a new chairman of the board and a new dean of its Post College. O. Alton Barron, a doctor who has been director of research at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York, is the board’s new chairman. He succeeds Mark Jennings who has held the position since 2005, and will remain on the board. Dr. Barron has been an active member of the finance and operations, and student life and athletics committees since he first joined the board in 2005. Also, James Nardozzi was named dean of Post College. Nardozzi, a former Waterbury deputy chief of police, has led the general education and other undergraduate programs offered through Post College as acting dean since March 2011. He will continue to serve as director of the university’s master of public administration degree program.

Jim Perras has joined the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority as its government relations liaison. Perras held various staff positions within the state legislature. Most recently, he served as senior executive advisor to Senate President Pro Tempore Donald E. Williams Jr. He serves as a member of Manchester’s Redevelopment Agency.

Karen M. Jarmoc has been named executive director of the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence. She had been serving as interim executive director since April. Most recently, Jarmoc served as co-chair of the General Assembly’s Task Force on Law Enforcement Response to Family Violence. She represented Enfield’s 59th House District from 2007 to 2011. Jarmoc serves on the board of the Connecticut Airport Authority and is board chair to the United Way of North Central Connecticut and the Asnuntuck Community College Foundation Inc.Â

John Boullie has been named supply planning manager for the Windsor Locks site of Ahlstrom Nonwovens LLC, a global manufacturer of specialty paper and fiber composite materials. Boullie was director of supply chain for Custom Vault Corporation in Bethel. Prior to that, he managed his own consulting business, which clients including CIGNA Corp. and Oakleaf Waste Management with information technology and business process outsourcing opportunities. He also has worked within the logistics, purchasing and planning processes at United Technologies Corp., A123 Systems Inc., Tyco International Inc., and Cisco Systems, Inc.

The New England office of Burns & McDonnell in Wallingford has added two managers. Michael O’Malley, previously a project manager for Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure, will serve as project manager. Robert Marsiano previously employed by Goldman Sachs & Co. as vice president of project controls, will serve as project controls manager. Their duties will include managerial roles on various electric infrastructure improvement projects in the Northeast.

He had served as a consultant in project management and was director of information systems at NewAlliance Bank. Previously, he served as vice president of information systems at Fiserv.

HealthCare Risk Specialists in West Hartford has added Douglas Bowie and Kristopher Perkins to its staff of professional medical liability insurance experts. Bowie moves from Vitaris Rehabilitation LLC in Commack, N.Y., where he served as chief executive officer. Perkins joins as vice president of agency operations from The Keane Insurance Group where he served as a broker for over eight years.
