Attorney Steven J. Bonafonte has joined Pullman & Comley, LLC as a partner in the corporate and business department and cybersecurity and infrastructure protection practice. Prior to joining Pullman & Comley, he served as managing corporate counsel/enterprise privacy and corporate compliance officer at a Fortune 100 financial services company. He has developed legal anti-fraud protocols and directed major case investigations and filing of affirmative civil anti-fraud RICO litigation against suspected fraudulent medical providers. He is commissioner of the Hartford Redevelopment Agency, a volunteer director of The Knox Foundation Inc. and has served on numerous other non-profit and public boards and commissions.

Peter J. Martin has been named a partner in the Construction & Public Contracts Law Group at Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP in Hartford. His practice emphasizes litigating construction and surety disputes. Also, Luke R. Conrad has joined as an associate in the same law group. His practice is focused on the representation of general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, suppliers, owners/developers, architects and engineers in construction-related matters.

Scott M. Deakin has been named executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Ensign-Bickford in Simsbury. He has been a member of the executive leadership team since joining the company in 2009. The firm is a six-business diversified operating company with multi-national holdings in life sciences, food products, specialty chemicals, aerospace & defense, and renewable energies. Prior to joining Ensign-Bickford, Deakin held leadership positions with Eaton Corp. and Barnes Group Inc. He serves on the board of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, the board of overseers of the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts and the board of corporators of the Hartford Hospital.

Andrew MacKenzie has been named medical director of maternal-fetal medicine at Day Kimball Healthcare in Putnam. He will also function as part of the obstetrical service, assisting in routine prenatal care and deliveries. Most recently, Dr. MacKenzie served as the director of maternal-fetal medicine at St. Francis Medical Group in Hartford. Prior to that, he was director of ultrasound at Madonna Perinatal Services, Mineola, N.Y., and co-director of maternal-fetal medicine at Mercy Medical Center, Rockville Center, N.Y. He is an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Connecticut.

He has over a decade of experience providing investment advisory services to retirement plans. Leadership Greater Hartford has promoted Katy Bannister, Marty Rotblatt and Cathy Tracy to senior directors. Maggie Irving has been promoted to program coordinator. Bannister will lead membership and business development. She has been with Leadership Greater Hartford since 2003. Rotblatt will lead communications and grant management. He has been with Leadership Greater Hartford since 2009. Tracy will lead finance and operations. She joined Leadership Greater Hartford in 2007. Irving is responsible for coordinating the program, membership and special events. Leadership Greater Hartford is one of the largest nonprofit community-based leadership organizations in the country.

Two new directors have been elected to the board at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Andrew J. Pinkes, executive vice president of claims and president of Heritage Holdings, Inc. at The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., will serve a three-year term. Adrienne W. Cochrane, president and chief executive officer of the Urban League of Greater Hartford., has been elected to a two-year term. She also She is a corporator of Hartford Hospital.

Alaine C. Doolan has returned to Robinson & Cole LLP as a senior associate in the law firm’s business section, primarily practicing in the areas of intellectual property, technology law, and brand management. She worked at the firm as a trademark analyst while attending law school. She has experience in in-house positions where she managed more than 4,000 worldwide trademark portfolios for two large consumer products companies.
