Sarah Schlegel, M.D., of Avon, has joined the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Schlegel recently completed a fellowship in developmental-behavioral pediatrics at Yale University. She also completed a pediatric residency at Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. Schlegel is board-certified in general pediatrics, and is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
People’s United Bank announced that Vincent Cianciolo, a resident of Harwinton, has been named executive vice president of People’s United Bank while retaining his position as president of People’s Capital and Leasing Corporation, a subsidiary of People’s United Bank. Cianciolo joined People’s United Bank in 1992 as a vice president and region manager for the bank’s Greater Waterbury Commercial Banking group.
CareCentrix, the nation’s leading provider of home health benefits management services, announced that it has expanded its senior management team with the addition of Bob Novelli. The company has appointed Novelli to chief operating officer. Novelli will spearhead CareCentrix’s operations and systems to support its expanding services and growing base of customers. In his most recent position as executive vice president of Blue Shield, he played an instrumental role in improving the plan’s broker and customer satisfaction.
Edgar R. Naut, M.D., of New Britain, has joined the medical and dental staff of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Naut served as a resident and chief resident in the University of Connecticut School of Medicine Primary Care-Internal Medicine Residency Program. A diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Naut is a member of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Medical Association. At Saint Francis, Dr. Naut will practice as a hospitalist and as a member of the Saint Francis Medical Group.
Community Mental Health Affiliates Inc. announced the appointment of Marie Mormile-Mehler, MSW, as vice president of organizational and strategic planning. Mormile-Mehler will oversee program development and new funding initiatives for the agency. Before joining CMHA, Mormile-Mehler was vice president of planning, performance & accountability at the Village for Families and Children in Hartford.
