The Board of Directors of AGC Inc. in Meriden has announced the appointment of R. Bruce Andrews as president and CEO. Andrews has more than 40 years experience in aerospace, nuclear, and oil and gas equipment manufacturing. Most recently, Andrews was president of Alderman & Company Consulting, performing strategic business consulting for aerospace companies.

Shipman & Goodwin has announced the promotion of Henry Zaccardi to counsel. Zaccardi represents public and private employers and nonprofits in labor relations and employment law.

New senior officers have been selected by the Home Builders Association of Connecticut. They are: George LaCava of Cromwell, president of Trilacon Development, chairman and president; Elizabeth Verna of Wallingford, partner in Verna Properties, first vice president; Barry Rosa, vice president of Prudential Connecticut Realty, vice president/treasurer. Bill Ferrigno, president of Sunlight Construction, becomes immediate past president.

Wiggin and Dana has announced three new partners: Anthony P. Gangemi is involved in counseling clients on the development of intellectual property strategies; Kenneth D. Heath is experienced in trial and appellate litigation, including complex civil trials with constitutional, statutory and common-law claims; and Kim E. Rinehart focuses on complex civil litigation and appellate law for businesses, universities, hospitals and health care institutions.

AGC Inc. has named Kenneth Payne senior vice president of sales and marketing. Payne was previously vice president of sales and marketing for Unison Engine Components, a division of General Electric Aircraft Engines, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing efforts of their two engine component fabrication businesses located in Terre Haute, Ind. and Manchester.

Cronin and Co., a marketing communications agency, has announced two promotions and two new hires. Phil Decoteau, of West Hartford, has been promoted from project coordinator to assistant project manager/search analyst within the interactive department. Nick Koutsopoulos, of Manchester, has been promoted from assistant media planner/buyer to media planner/buyer. Margie Mechanic, of East Hampton, joins Cronin’s accounting team as senior accountant. Prior to Cronin, she was a controller at Bell Food Services Inc. Robert Kalajian Jr., of Torrington, has joined the agency’s interactive department as a Web designer. Before coming to Cronin, Kalajian was a Web designer for Search Marketing Solutions LLC.

Susan A. Pinkham, of Colchester, has been named director of food and nutrition services at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Pinkham joined the Department of Food and Nutrition Services in 1995 as an operations supervisor. More recently, she served as interim director of the department.

Medina K. Jett, an attorney with extensive financial services compliance and operations risk management experience, has launched Integrated Compliance Solutions Group LLC. ICSGroup provides compliance consulting services to Securities and Exchange Commission-registered investment advisers, mutual funds, hedge funds and pension funds.

Anne A. DeMallie has been named chairwoman and principal and is now majority owner of Design Professionals Inc. of South Windsor. She has been with the company since its founding in 1986. Karen M. Isherwood is now a LEED Accredited Professional. She is a project manager and director with the company and is a licensed professional engineer in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Galen B. Semprebon, executive vice president and chief operating officer, recently added the state of New York to his professional engineering licenses in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

Mahoney Sabol & Co. LLP has promoted Marianne Chamberlain to the position of manager in the Glastonbury office. Chamberlain, a resident of Haddam, has been with Mahoney Sabol since 2002. Chamberlain specializes in public and private companies, construction, manufacturing and not-for-profit organizations, with expertise in accounting, auditing and business consulting.
