Charles Waltos of South Windsor was appointed as a provider relations liaison by VNA HealthCare, a home care and hospice agency. Waltos comes to the agency with over 10 years of marketing experience mostly in homecare. He will call on Hartford area physicians to promote the services of one of the oldest home care agencies in the state. Waltos was with Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice prior to joining VNA HealthCare. He and his wife are parents of two children.
Michele Kelvey-Albert, MPH, CHES, CPEHR, has been named manager, outpatient services at Qualidigm in Rocky Hill. In this role, Kelvey-Albert is responsible for managing the outpatient office team for the organization’s Medicare services contract. She is also Qualidigm’s primary liaison for physician practices, functioning as a health care quality improvement advisor who helps with health information technology implementation to improve clinical performance. Previously, Kelvey-Albert was a health educator for Qualidigm; a position she held since 2000.
Southington Care Center announced Annette Shoop, RN, as its new nurse case manager. Shoop worked as Southington Care Center’s nursing coordinator on the rehabilitation unit for over one year before being promoted to the nurse case manager position. As nurse case manager, she is responsible for coordinating the care and delivery of services to the managed care patients and for overseeing the clinical education program for all of Southington Care Center’s short-term rehabilitation population.
Aysha Kuhlor, RN, director of nursing/clinical services at Mercy Community Health’s Saint Mary Home, has been elected recording secretary for the National Association for Directors of Nursing Administrators (NADONA.) Kuhlor has served in long-term care for more than 10 years in various leadership roles. She is president of the Connecticut chapter of NADONA.
The business valuation and consulting firm Brentmore Valuation Advisors announced Chao (Phyllis) Liu, one its valuation analysts recently received her certified public accountant certificate. Liu has a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and resides in West Hartford.
