Henry, Raymond & Thompson LLC, a public accounting firm, recently welcomed three new members to its firm and doubled its office space.

Darin L. Offerdahl, MBA, CPA, joined the firm as an audit and accounting principal. Most recently, Offerdahl worked for Alexion Pharmaceuticals as director of financial reporting and compliance. Jonathan D. Degnan, MBA, joined the firm as an audit and accounting supervisor. Prior to joining the firm, Degnan began his career with McGladrey & Pullen LLP supervising audit teams. Engna Jessie Caraccioli joined as an accountant/bookkeeper. Caraccioli has a background in financial analysis, customer service and data entry. Most recently, she worked as an earned value management systems analyst for Pratt & Whitney.

The firm upgraded and increased size at both locations, now located at 1741 Ellington Road in South Windsor and One Hamden Center, 2319 Whitney Ave., Suite 5-D in Hamden.

Elizabeth W. Brady, MD, breast surgeon at Hartford Hospital, has been honored by the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame. Dr. Brady was recognized among “A New Century of Women in Healthcare” for delivering compassionate and innovative care to patients. Dr. Brady was recognized at the 16th annual induction ceremony for the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame, which honored women in health care. Those recognized in “A New Century of Women in Healthcare” are “remarkable women who have made significant contributions to the care and well being of Connecticut residents,” according to the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame.

Karen T. Goyette has joined Hartford Healthcare and Hartford Hospital as vice president of strategic planning and business development. In this role, she will oversee the planning, implementation and monitoring of programs that contribute to the growth, financial soundness, patient satisfaction, quality and reputation of Hartford Healthcare and Hartford Hospital. Goyette comes to Hartford from MidState Medical Center in Meriden, where she served as vice president of administration and business development.

Ariane Sirop, a primary care physician, is now seeing patients at the UConn Health Center’s Simsbury office. Sirop earned her medical doctorate from the Ross University School of Medicine after completing the premedical program at Columbia University in New York City. Sirop has been an assistant professor at the UConn School of Medicine since 2003, when she joined the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Newington as a staff physician. She joined the UConn Health Center’s clinical practice in 2007 as a staff physician working primarily in nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities.
