Morningstar is initiating coverage of Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. with an issuer rating of BBB-.
The Hartford’s business risk score is helped by its diversity of products and the relative strength of its property-casualty operations, which help it achieve better underwriting results than companies strictly focused on life insurance, Morningstar said.
