Morgan Stanley: Investors optimistic

A majority of investors in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey expect their portfolios to perform the same or better than they did in 2013, according to a survey released Wednesday by Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

Of those surveyed, 86 percent expect their portfolios to be better or the same at the end of 2014, and 84 percent think their financial well-being will be the same or better.

Outlooks were most favorable for investments in the technology, energy and biotech sectors while 55 percent of Tri-State investors view healthcare investment favorably.

The biggest concerns for 2014 are stock market volatility, U.S. economic prospects and the federal budget deficit.
